The Entertainer is a classic piano rag written by Scott Joplin (1867 - 1917).
Scott Joplin was a composer and pianist, born near Texarkana, Texas. He achieved fame for his unique ragtime compositions, and was dubbed the "King of Ragtime."
The Entertainer was used as the theme music for the 1973 Oscar-winning film The Sting.
The Sting won 7 Oscars. The movie had an all-star cast including Paul Newman and Robert Redford.
